Careers @ Guilford Day
What do we look for in a teacher?
We look for teachers who are flexible in thought, team players, strong in their content areas, and who have a penchant for facilitating success in under-achievers. The ideal candidate posesses two degrees: one in the content area, one in special education.
A North Carolina Teacher's Certificate is preferred.
If you do not carry a North Carolina Teacher's Certificate in the position area you must have a Bachelor's degree in the position area, and twelve (12) college credit hours in professional education coursework would be required within the first two years of employment.
We expect all of our teachers to participate in our professional development workshops about specific learning strategies and classroom management.
We have no job openings for teachers at this time. If you would like for us to keep your resume on file for future openings, please send it to Clare Abel, Academic Dean.
We are always accepting applications for tutors and substitutes. Please call the front office for more information.
