Summer Practice Schedule
August 25- 26: Practice begins at GDS at 9:00 am-11:00am.
*Meeting place may change to the YMCA. Changes will be given with adequate time to prepare.
Fall Practice Schedule
Beginning August 28th, meet at the multi purpose room immediately after dismissal.
Practice will be held Monday through Friday 3-5pm.
*practice times and days are subject to change
Location: We will use the YMCA soccer fields as much as possible. Changes will be announced in advance whenever possible.

GDS Cross Country Practice Info
This year our Cross Country team will be splitting practice time between Country Park off (of Pisgah Church) and Bur-Mil Park (off of Battleground). The current schedule will have us practicing from 3:45 until 5 to 5:15 (since distances will vary it is difficult to give an exact time).
Beginning September 2, our practice schedule will be:
Mondays – 3:45 @ Country Park
Tuesdays – 3:45 @ Country Park
Thursdays – 3:45 @ Bur-Mil Park
The meet schedule will be posted shortly.
SUMMER TRAINING:
- Try and run 3-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes.
- It is always a good idea to try and time yourself and calculate the distance you are running if possible.
- BE SURE to run at a pace you feel comfortable with, but try to limit your walking.
- Try to run in light clothes and comfortable shoes, and take care of your feet!
- STRETCH! (ideally before and after your run)
- MAKE SURE that you properly hydrate yourself before, after, and possibly during your run.
- Try to run either during the early mornings or the evening/night as to avoid getting overheated or dehydrated.
